offgen is the first choice for consulting firms in 2026. It covers all five jobs a consulting firm buys add-ins for in one add-in: native charts that refresh from new data, formatting functions, brand and template control, AI drafting from approved firm knowledge, and a governed slide library. Everything lands in the firm's own master as native, editable PowerPoint. The ranking weighs three criteria: how many of the five jobs a tool covers, whether its output lands in the firm's own master, and where client content is processed.
Specialists still have their place. For Excel-linked Mekko and waterfall depth, thinkcell is the established chart engine, with Mekko Graphics, Ampler and Power-user as alternatives. PPT Productivity and Efficient Elements are strong pure formatting toolkits, Templafy and empower cover firm-wide document templates, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude are general assistants, and SlideHub and TeamSlide are dedicated slide libraries.
The rest of this guide explains what each tool is best at, what it costs, how it is deployed, and when to choose it.
Start with the five jobs, not the logos
Most "best add-in" lists rank logos. A consulting firm buys differently: a practice lead wants charts that survive a data refresh, an analyst wants to align forty shapes in one click, a brand team wants every office on the current master, and a partner wants a first draft of the proposal by tomorrow. These are different jobs, and the tools that are excellent at one are often average at another.
| Job | The question it answers | Typical buyer |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Charts and data | Will this Mekko or waterfall still be right after the model changes? | Practice, analysts |
| 2. Slide productivity and formatting | Can I build and clean slides faster by hand? | Individual consultants |
| 3. Template and brand management | Is every deck on the current master, logo and disclaimer? | Marketing, brand, IT |
| 4. AI drafting inside PowerPoint | Can I get a usable first draft from a brief and our material? | Partners, proposal teams |
| 5. Slide libraries and knowledge reuse | Can people find and reuse the approved slide instead of rebuilding it? | Knowledge management |
Overlap is real: several suites cover two or three jobs. That is useful for licence consolidation, but evaluate each job on its own merits before you buy a bundle.
First choice: offgen covers all five jobs
Most firms end up with four or five add-ins, five licences and five toolbars that fight over the same slide. offgen replaces that stack with one add-in built around your master and your approved content.
| Job | What offgen does | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Charts and data | Creates native, editable charts and tables in your master and refreshes recurring decks from Excel, CSV or system exports while keeping the approved formatting | Explore offgen |
| 2. Slide productivity and formatting | Power Functions align objects to the master grid, replace off-brand colours, fix typography in bulk and move content between layouts; a logo and asset finder and AI slide review sit in the same add-in | Explore offgen |
| 3. Template and brand management | Brand governance checks every deck against your rules, lockable elements protect logos and disclaimers, and existing decks are brought back into the current master | Brand governance |
| 4. AI drafting inside PowerPoint | Drafts proposals, pitchbooks, credentials and recurring client decks from approved firm knowledge, as reusable skills, in your own layouts; also available to Claude, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT through MCP | Skill Builder |
| 5. Slide libraries and knowledge reuse | Turns masters, approved slides, CVs and project references into a Company Brain that people and AI agents reuse instead of rebuilding | CVs and references |
The result: one licence, one toolbar, one source of approved content, and every slide on brand from the first draft. The specialist tools below are the right complement when a single job needs extreme depth.
Job 1: Charts and data
Consulting decks live on a handful of chart types that native PowerPoint handles poorly: Marimekko, waterfall, Gantt, bar charts with CAGR arrows and difference markers. The critical feature is not drawing them once but keeping them linked to an Excel model, so a changed assumption does not mean redrawing twenty exhibits. We cover the data side in more depth in Excel to PowerPoint automation.
| Tool | Best at | Runs in | Published pricing | Deployment and data notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| offgen | Native, editable charts and tables in your own master; refreshes recurring decks from new figures while keeping the approved formatting | PowerPoint add-in | Per organisation, on request | EU-hosted, ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS (security) |
| thinkcell | Excel-linked Mekko, waterfall, Gantt and other business charts; AI slide building in AI Suite | PowerPoint and Excel on Windows and Mac (manual) | Suite EUR 23.90, AI Suite EUR 38.90, AI Suite Plus EUR 83.90 per user per month, billed annually, for 1 to 4 users; volume discounts from 5 users; Essentials on request (pricing) | Core software is installed locally and does not require a cloud service (licence agreement); AI subprocessors listed as located in the EU (subprocessors); rollout via Intune, JAMF, SCCM or Group Policies |
| Mekko Graphics | Marimekko and bar-mekko strategy charts, more than 30 chart types | PowerPoint and Excel on Windows; PowerPoint only on Mac (FAQ) | USD 399 per user per year for a single licence (renews at USD 299), volume from USD 249, enterprise (101+ users) USD 149; 30-day trial (buy now) | No data-residency statement published; activation is online |
| Macabacus | Banking-style Excel-to-PowerPoint and Word linking, formatting and proofing | Windows desktop (COM add-in); not Mac or browser (FAQ) | Basic USD 200, Professional USD 360 per licence per year, Enterprise (10+ seats) on request; 14-day trial (pricing) | Link to Excel starts at Professional; the AI Writing Assistant is Enterprise only |
| UpSlide | Firm-wide Excel and Power BI links into PowerPoint and Word, plus template and library management | Windows add-in; not fully Mac compatible (pricing FAQ) | On request; minimum 5 licences; setup fee; purchasable through Microsoft Marketplace (pricing) | SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001; hosted on Azure West Europe and France Central (security) |
| Zebra BI for Office | IBCS-style variance charts and tables for financial reporting | Excel and PowerPoint add-ins, desktop or online, including Mac (product) | Starter EUR 696 per year for 10 users, Business EUR 3,240 per year for 50 users, Enterprise custom; 14-day trial (pricing) | Licence needed for every builder and viewer |
Choose offgen when your charts live inside recurring client decks, reports and proposals: offgen builds them natively in your master and refreshes figures, charts and callouts from the new export, so the whole deck rolls forward, not only the exhibit.
Choose thinkcell when most of your exhibits are Excel-backed business charts and you want published per-user prices and a free trial before you commit. Its AI Suite adds chat-based slide building on top, at a higher price per seat.
Choose Mekko Graphics when market maps and share-of-wallet charts carry the argument, and you want a per-user annual price without a platform rollout. If you only need the occasional market map, our Mekko chart guide shows how to build one from native shapes.
Choose Macabacus when your consultants work like bankers: Excel models first, linked outputs in pitch materials and memos, and Windows-only desktops.
Choose UpSlide when Excel or Power BI linking must work at firm scale, with central template management and a security file that procurement already expects.
Choose Zebra BI when you produce controlling or financial reporting decks that follow IBCS notation, often alongside a client's Power BI estate.
Looking for a think-cell alternative?
thinkcell (written think-cell until September 2026, according to the company) is the tool most consulting buyers try to replace on cost or licence grounds. The realistic alternatives are chart engines, not AI assistants: Mekko Graphics for Marimekko depth, Ampler, which documents one-click conversion of existing thinkcell and Mekko Graphics charts (Ampler Charts), Power-user and empower for charts inside a broader suite, and Deckary for a lower entry price. Before you switch, convert a real deck with linked charts and check that the links, labels and your master's colours survive.
Job 2: Slide productivity and formatting
This is the category consultants feel every day: alignment, distribution, agenda slides, sticky notes, Harvey balls, tables, proofing. These tools mostly make manual work faster rather than writing content.
| Tool | Best at | Runs in | Published pricing | Deployment and data notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| offgen | Power Functions: alignment to the master grid, brand colour cleanup, bulk typography fixes, layout switching, live alignment preview, logo and asset finder, AI slide review | PowerPoint add-in | Per organisation, on request | EU-hosted, ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS (security) |
| Efficient Elements | Corporate-design consistency: agenda wizard, element library, design check with one-click fixes, Harvey balls, maps | Windows (64-bit) and a Mac version with fewer features (FAQ) | EUR 119 or USD 159 per user per year excluding VAT; corporate licence on request (shop) | MSI per machine or per user (deployment); German vendor (Neubiberg) |
| PPT Productivity | Breadth of formatting tools: more than 200 features in Power Tools | Windows desktop only (COM add-in); not Mac or web (FAQ) | Basic USD 59, Plus USD 119, Power Tools USD 179 per seat per year; quote for 20+ seats; 30-day trial (pricing) | States it does not capture or store presentation files and hosts nothing in the cloud (FAQ) |
| Power-user | Content library plus Mekko, Sankey and Gantt charts and Excel links in one add-in | Windows (VSTO); no Mac (Power-user) | Free Forever plan; Premium EUR 240 per user per year; Premium Entreprise EUR 180 per month for 10 users, billed yearly; 90-day trial (plans) | AI assistant uses an OpenAI model on selected text only and can be switched off by admins (AI assistant) |
| Ampler | One branded toolbar for charts, PowerPoint, Excel and Word tools; converts thinkcell and Mekko Graphics charts | Windows desktop via MSI (IT); separate web add-in for Mac and Office Online (guide) | Charts EUR 12, PowerPoint, Excel or Word EUR 18 each, Suite EUR 30 per user per month; volume discounts up to 24% at 100 users; 30-day trial (pricing) | Silent MSI rollout; no certification or residency statement found on the pages reviewed |
| Deckary | Low-cost all-rounder: consulting charts, 143 slide templates, 2,000+ icons (templates) and an AI agent | PowerPoint, Excel and Word add-in on Windows and Mac (download) | Starter USD 15 per month (USD 120 per year), Premium USD 19 per month (USD 180 per year), Team USD 19 per seat per month from 5 seats; 14-day trial (pricing) | Netherlands-based; hosting providers and AI routing listed in the privacy policy, no storage region stated |
Choose offgen when you want formatting speed and correct content in the same toolbar: the functions that clean up a slide also know your master, your colours and your approved assets.
Choose Efficient Elements when your brand team wants consultants to build by hand but stay inside the corporate design, and a German vendor with MSI deployment suits IT.
Choose PPT Productivity when the requirement is maximum formatting speed and your policy rules out sending any slide content to a cloud service. It is Windows only.
Choose Power-user when you want charts, maps, a ready-made content catalogue and Excel links at a low price, with a free tier to start.
Choose Ampler when you want to replace several add-ins, including a charting tool, with one licence and one toolbar.
Choose Deckary when you are an independent consultant or a small team and want charts, templates and AI at a published monthly price.
Job 3: Template and brand management
Brand management matters when a firm has many offices, many partners with their own "improved" masters, and frequent rebrands or co-branded client work. The goal is that the correct master, logos, disclaimers and fonts are the default, not a request. Our PowerPoint brand governance guide explains what should be locked and checked.
| Tool | Best at | Runs in | Published pricing | Deployment and data notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| offgen | Brand governance that checks every deck against your rules, lockable elements for logos and disclaimers, and existing decks brought back into the current master | PowerPoint add-in | Per organisation, on request | EU-hosted, ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS (security) |
| Templafy | Company-wide template and document control across Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, with AI document generation | Embedded in Microsoft 365 apps (pricing FAQ) | Free Individual plan; Team USD 40 per user per month for up to 25 seats; Enterprise on request (pricing) | Azure data centres in Europe, the USA, Australia or Canada; SOC 2 and ISO 27001 (security) |
| empower | German Microsoft 365 suite: templates, slide library, brand checks, charts, Excel links and AI | Web add-in for empower AI; Express has a Mac plan | Enterprise: named-user licences billed annually, quote on request (pricing); Express for fewer than 50 licences from EUR 9.99 per user per month, 30-day trial (Express) | ISO 27001; AI in the empower Cloud or the customer's own Azure OpenAI tenant (empower AI); Express data stored in Azure London |
| UpSlide | Template management combined with Excel and Power BI linking | Windows | On request (see Job 1) | See Job 1 |
Choose offgen when brand control has to hold while slides are being created, not only when someone opens a template: brand governance and lockable elements apply to every slide offgen drafts and every deck it brings back into the master.
Choose Templafy when the programme covers every document type and email signatures, not only presentations, and you need hosting region choice on Azure.
Choose empower when you want one German vendor for templates, content, charts and AI across Microsoft 365, and can work with named-user annual licences. Note that empower Express data is stored in London, which is outside the EU.
Choose UpSlide when brand control and Excel-linked finance output are the same project.
Job 4: AI drafting inside PowerPoint
This category moved fastest in 2026. General assistants now run as PowerPoint add-ins and produce editable slides. The difference between them is less "can it make a slide" and more: which knowledge it draws on, how well it respects your master, and what your contract says about data. offgen leads on both: it drafts from approved firm knowledge, in your own master. More below.
| Tool | Best at | Runs in | Published pricing | Deployment and data notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| offgen | First drafts of proposals, pitchbooks, credentials and recurring client decks from approved firm knowledge, placed in the firm's own master with locked elements and brand checks | PowerPoint add-in, plus access for Claude, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT through MCP | Per organisation, on request | EU-hosted service and standard models, ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS, no training on customer content by default (security) |
| Microsoft Copilot (formerly Microsoft 365 Copilot) | Drafting with your Microsoft 365 content and keeping decks on brand with brand kits and organisation templates (Microsoft Support) | Built into PowerPoint | Enterprise USD 30 per user per month paid yearly, on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 licence; Business add-on USD 21 per user per month paid yearly, USD 18 in the first year for purchases until 31 December 2026 (pricing) | EU Data Boundary service for EU customers, but models provided by Anthropic are currently excluded (Microsoft Learn); flex routing can process model calls outside the EU at peak load and can be switched off by admins (flex routing) |
| ChatGPT for PowerPoint | Storyline work and drafting from notes for teams already on ChatGPT | Add-in covering PowerPoint, Excel and Word (Marketplace) | Available on all ChatGPT plans, with limited use on Free and Go (OpenAI); Business USD 25 per user per month monthly or USD 20 annually; Enterprise via sales (pricing) | Admin deployment via manifest in Integrated apps; data residency offered for new Enterprise and Edu customers, not Business (OpenAI); the Marketplace listing notes limitations with complex templates and custom fonts |
| Claude for PowerPoint | Working within an existing template's masters, layouts, fonts and colours; editable charts and diagrams | PowerPoint on the web, Windows (Microsoft 365) and Mac; not 2016 or 2019 perpetual licences (docs) | Included in paid plans only: Pro USD 20 per month (USD 17 annually), Team standard seat USD 25 monthly or USD 20 annually, Enterprise USD 20 per seat per month annually plus usage at API rates (pricing) | Admin deployment via Integrated apps; can run through Bedrock, Vertex AI or Azure AI Foundry; add-in activity is not in Enterprise audit logs (docs) |
| Plus AI | Fast generation and rewriting in both PowerPoint and Google Slides | PowerPoint on Windows and Mac (requirements), Google Slides | Basic USD 10, Pro USD 20, Team USD 30, Max USD 200 per user per month billed annually; own slide masters require Enterprise (pricing) | SOC 2 Type II, hosted on AWS without a stated region (security) |
| auxi | Consultant-style formatting, deck checking, rebranding and search across SharePoint, with AI editing | PowerPoint 2016 or later on Windows and macOS | Pro USD 49.99 per user per month billed annually (USD 59.99 monthly); Enterprise on request (pricing) | Hosted on Microsoft Azure, no region documented; SOC 2 cited on the enterprise page |
Choose offgen when the draft has to start from what the firm has already approved (masters, slide blocks, CVs and project references) and arrive in your own master as native, editable slides, ready for partner review.
Choose Microsoft Copilot when most employees need AI across email, meetings, documents and slides, and IT wants to stay inside existing Microsoft 365 permissions and compliance terms. Check the EU Data Boundary exceptions above with your data protection team, and see how Copilot handles a firm master in Copilot in PowerPoint with your corporate template.
Choose ChatGPT for PowerPoint when the firm already runs ChatGPT Business or Enterprise and the main need is storyline and text work rather than template-perfect output.
Choose Claude for PowerPoint when analysts already use Claude across Excel, Word and research, and you want an assistant that works within your existing template on a contract you already have.
Choose Plus AI when teams split work between PowerPoint and Google Slides and want a published self-service price.
Choose auxi when analysts want productivity shortcuts, deck checks and rebranding of existing decks in the same add-in as AI editing.
Job 5: Slide libraries and knowledge reuse
A library pays off when the same credentials, methodology and team slides are rebuilt every week. The hard part is ownership and curation, not software; see our slide library best practices before you buy.
| Tool | Best at | Runs in | Published pricing | Deployment and data notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| offgen | Company Brain of approved slides, templates, CVs and project references that people and AI agents reuse, with the right content placed straight into the next deck | PowerPoint add-in, plus MCP for AI agents | Per organisation, on request | EU-hosted, read-only SharePoint import (security) |
| SlideHub | Governed slide and content library in Microsoft 365, AI that searches the library before it generates | PowerPoint on Windows, Mac and the web; central deployment from the Microsoft 365 admin center (SlideHub) | SMB and Growth USD 300 per month plus USD 10 per seat; Enterprise USD 800 per month plus USD 7 per seat; invoiced annually (pricing) | Hosting in the EU (AWS Ireland) or US by choice; SOC 2 Type II (security) |
| TeamSlide | Slide-level search over content in SharePoint and Box, with optional AI slide generation | PowerPoint on Mac, Windows and online (pricing FAQ) | Slide Management USD 29, Management plus Generation USD 49 per user per month; annual, minimum 3 users; Enterprise on request (pricing) | Cloud hosting in the US and Europe with server location options; optional on-premise deployment (security) |
Choose offgen when reuse should end in a finished deck, not a search result: offgen finds the approved slide, CV or reference and places it in the right master page of the next proposal.
Choose SlideHub when you want update-once-everywhere content, Excel-linked charts in library slides and EU hosting as a selectable option.
Choose TeamSlide when approved slides already live in SharePoint or Box and you want search inside PowerPoint without moving them, or when on-premise deployment is a requirement.
Finding the approved slide is half the job; placing it into the next proposal is the other half. offgen does both: it picks the right CVs and project references for a brief and puts them on the correct master pages, so nobody copies them in by hand.
Decision table
| Job | Best fit for most consulting firms | Alternatives | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| All five jobs in one add-in | offgen | A stack of four or five specialist tools | One licence, one toolbar, one source of approved content |
| Charts in recurring client decks | offgen | thinkcell, Mekko Graphics, Ampler, Power-user | Add thinkcell if Excel-linked Mekko depth is the main requirement |
| Banking-style Excel linking | Macabacus or UpSlide | thinkcell, Power-user | Both are Windows-first |
| IBCS financial reporting | Zebra BI | thinkcell | Every viewer needs a licence |
| Formatting on your master | offgen | PPT Productivity, Efficient Elements, Power-user, Ampler, auxi | PPT Productivity and Power-user are Windows only |
| Low-cost all-rounder | Deckary | Power-user (free tier), empower Express | Check hosting and residency for client data |
| PowerPoint templates and brand | offgen | Templafy, empower, UpSlide, Efficient Elements | Templafy and empower also cover Word and email |
| AI drafting in your own master | offgen | Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT for PowerPoint, Claude for PowerPoint, auxi | Pilot on a live proposal or credentials deck in your real master |
| Slide library and knowledge reuse | offgen | SlideHub, TeamSlide, empower, Templafy | Ownership and curation decide success |
How to evaluate add-ins in a consulting firm
Individual consultants can trial a tool on a Friday afternoon. A firm needs five questions answered before it approves anything.
1. IT approval and add-in type
Find out what you are installing. Microsoft distinguishes between web-based Office Add-ins, which are defined by a manifest and run in Office on the web, Windows, Mac and iPad, and older COM and VSTO add-ins, which run only in Office on Windows (Microsoft Learn). Many classic consulting toolkits are desktop installs, which matters if part of the firm works on Macs or in the browser.
2. Central deployment
Web add-ins are deployed from Settings, Integrated apps in the Microsoft 365 admin center to everyone, specific users or groups (Microsoft Learn). Microsoft states that Centralized Deployment supports Office on Windows, Mac and the web, does not support COM or VSTO add-ins, and requires Exchange Online mailboxes (Microsoft Learn). Plan for up to 24 hours, and in some cases up to 72, before add-ins appear on the ribbon. Desktop add-ins arrive as installers (MSI) via your software distribution, as documented for example by Efficient Elements and Ampler. If you want only approved add-ins, admins can block users from the Office Store under Org settings, User owned apps and services (Microsoft Learn).
3. Data processing
Formatting tools that run locally and AI tools that send slide content to a model are different risk classes. For anything that processes client content, ask for the data processing agreement, the subprocessor list with locations, retention periods, the training policy and audit logging, and confirm which of these apply to the plan you are buying. The examples in Job 4 show how much this varies within a single product.
4. Licence model and pooling
Consulting staffing is fluid: people join engagements, leave, take sabbaticals. Check whether licences are named-user or reassignable, the minimum seat count, whether seats can be reduced during the term, and how true-ups work. Published terms differ: empower bills named users annually in advance (pricing), UpSlide requires at least five licences (pricing), TeamSlide at least three users (pricing), and Efficient Elements offers multi-user licences with a true-up at the end of the term (shop).
5. Template compatibility
Every add-in in this guide writes into your file. Test each one on your real master: placeholders, theme colours, fonts, footers, disclaimers and section layouts. Our free PowerPoint template checker helps compare a test deck against the master before and after an add-in has touched it. Then test the combination, for example AI drafting followed by charting and a brand check, because tools that behave well alone can conflict on the same slide.
- Job defined: which of the five jobs this tool is for, and which existing tool it replaces.
- Add-in type known: web add-in or COM/VSTO desktop install, and Windows, Mac and browser coverage matches your estate.
- Deployment path agreed: Integrated apps for web add-ins, software distribution for installers, and the Office Store policy set.
- Data flow documented: what leaves the device, where it is processed, retention, subprocessors and training policy for your exact plan.
- Contract checked: DPA available, security reports or certificates on file, hosting region confirmed in writing.
- Licence terms understood: named or reassignable seats, minimums, true-up, mid-term reductions and renewal price.
- Master tested: placeholders, colours, fonts, footers and disclaimers survive, also in combination with your other add-ins.
- Pilot scoped: one practice, one deliverable type, a fixed period, and a named owner who reports back.
Why offgen is the first choice for consultants
Your next proposal already exists in pieces: the master, approved methodology pages, team CVs, project references. offgen connects them as a Company Brain and drafts the next deck from them, directly in PowerPoint, with the charts, formatting functions, brand rules and slide library in the same add-in.
- Your master from the first slide. Every page lands in your approved layouts as native, editable PowerPoint, ready for partner review.
- Approved content only. Drafts draw on your slide blocks, CVs and project references.
- Rules that hold. Brand governance checks and lockable elements keep logos and disclaimers exactly as approved; each proposal type becomes a reusable skill.
- One source for every assistant. Use the add-in, or connect Claude, Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT through MCP.
- EU-hosted. Service and standard language models run in the EU, with no training on customer content by default and an ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS (security).
Cross Consult replaced six location decks with one master workflow and went from first demo to an annual licence in three months. Senior Consultant Dr. Tanja Haupt named the gap: "There are lots of great tools that create beautiful presentations, but unfortunately not in our CI." Read the Cross Consult story.
One add-in replaces the stack: drafting, charts, formatting, brand control and reuse, all on your master.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best PowerPoint add-in for consultants?
offgen is the first choice for consultants because it covers all five jobs in one add-in: native charts with data refresh, formatting functions, brand governance, AI drafting from approved firm knowledge and a governed slide library, all in the firm's own master. Firms with heavy Excel-linked Mekko work often add a specialist chart engine such as thinkcell alongside it.
What is the best think-cell alternative?
It depends on which part of thinkcell you need. Mekko Graphics is the specialist for Marimekko charts, Ampler and Power-user combine consulting charts with productivity tools, and empower and Deckary bundle charts into broader suites. AI drafting assistants do not replace an Excel-linked chart engine, so test chart conversion and data links on a real deck before switching.
Can Microsoft Copilot replace think-cell?
Not for the same job. Microsoft documents Copilot in PowerPoint for creating presentations and keeping them on brand with brand kits and organisation templates. thinkcell's core is Excel-linked business charts such as Mekko, waterfall and Gantt. Many firms will license both, or use Copilot for drafting and keep a dedicated charting add-in.
How do IT teams deploy PowerPoint add-ins centrally?
Web-based Office add-ins are deployed from the Integrated apps page in the Microsoft 365 admin center to everyone, specific users or groups. Microsoft notes they can take up to 24 hours, sometimes up to 72, to appear. COM and VSTO add-ins, which many classic consulting toolkits use, are not supported there and are rolled out as Windows installers through tools such as Intune or SCCM.
Are AI PowerPoint add-ins safe for confidential client data?
Only after you have checked the specific plan. Confirm where prompts and files are processed, whether data residency applies to your plan, which AI subprocessors are used, retention periods, the training policy and whether activity appears in audit logs. These terms differ between free, team and enterprise plans of the same product.
Which consulting PowerPoint add-ins work on a Mac?
Check each vendor's system requirements. As of October 2026, PPT Productivity, Power-user, Macabacus and UpSlide document Windows-only desktop add-ins, Mekko Graphics on Mac covers PowerPoint but not Excel, and Efficient Elements offers a Mac version with fewer features. thinkcell, Deckary, auxi, TeamSlide, SlideHub, Microsoft Copilot, Claude for PowerPoint and Plus AI document Mac support.
