Get the PowerPoint add-in
Install offgen, sign in, and create your first presentation.
Before you start
You need PowerPoint, an internet connection, and access to an offgen organization. In managed Microsoft 365 environments, your administrator may need to approve or deploy the add-in first.
Install offgen
Open PowerPoint
Open PowerPoint on Windows, Mac, or the web.
Open the add-in store
Choose Insert → Get Add-ins. Depending on your PowerPoint version, this may appear under Home → Add-ins.
Add offgen
Search for offgen.ai, select the add-in, and choose Add.
Open the task pane
Open offgen from the PowerPoint ribbon and sign in with the account connected to your organization.
AI and organization features require an active internet connection. The features you see depend on your organization’s configuration and permissions.
Create your first presentation
- Open the Home tab in the offgen task pane.
- Choose an organization or personal workflow.
- Describe the presentation you need.
- Optionally attach source material. Workflows accept images and common document formats including PDF, Word, Excel, text, Markdown, and CSV.
- Choose Start, then review the generated slides in PowerPoint.
For one-off changes to an existing deck, open the AI Agent tab and describe the result you want. See AI Agent.
If the add-in does not appear
- Restart PowerPoint after installation.
- Check My Add-ins and open offgen from there.
- Ask your Microsoft 365 administrator whether add-ins are restricted or centrally deployed.
- If an action is disabled, select the slide objects it should operate on.
