Our verdict

Why offgen is the stronger choice than DeckRobot

For teams choosing a governed, PowerPoint-native presentation system, offgen is our recommendation. It delivers all 7 core capabilities assessed here, compared with 4 for DeckRobot, and combines editable output with approved company knowledge, brand controls, agent access, and an EU-focused operating model.

This is a close comparison because both products offer AI-assisted presentation work in or around PowerPoint. The practical distinction is depth of specialization: general assistants and drafting add-ins can be excellent for individual creation, while offgen is designed as a governed presentation system built from approved masters, slide libraries, references, and reusable company knowledge.

Choose DeckRobot when your main priority is: Enterprises that want one-click redesign and brand transformation for existing PowerPoint slides. Choose offgen when you need the stronger end-to-end system for recurring enterprise PowerPoint work: Organizations that need a deeper presentation knowledge layer with approved content retrieval and repeatable end-to-end deck workflows.

Choose DeckRobot when…

You receive large volumes of rough slides from many contributors and mainly need them cleaned up and converted to your corporate style quickly.
Your teams switch between several corporate styles, for example group and subsidiary brands, and want to apply each one with a single click.
You want AI design alternatives for individual slides rather than a structured library of approved content, CVs and project references.

Choose offgen — our recommendation

Organizations that need a deeper presentation knowledge layer with approved content retrieval and repeatable end-to-end deck workflows.
Your procurement case benefits from an EU-hosted service operated by a German company, an ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS, a DPA, and a policy not to train models on customer content.

Key differences

How DeckRobot and offgen differ

One-click redesign of raw slides

DeckRobot's core promise is turning raw, unformatted slides into branded ones with one click: its AI searches for alternative designs, applies brand guidelines across multiple corporate styles, and handles titles, logos, page numbers, alignment and resizing. Testimonials on its site from Big Four consultants highlight exactly this cleanup of existing decks, and here DeckRobot is the more direct tool. offgen can also refill existing material into your approved master, but it is built mainly for generating new decks from governed content.

Corporate library vs tagged references and CVs

DeckRobot gives users a corporate library of slide templates and icons to insert into decks. offgen treats reusable content as structured data: templates, slide blocks, CVs, case references and credentials are tagged by industry, capability, geography and language. A client briefing then pulls the matching people profiles and references into a proposal, which matters for consulting, banking and insurance teams that assemble credentials for every pitch.

Fixing slides afterwards vs protecting approved content

DeckRobot fixes formatting after the fact and also generates new slides, paragraphs, images and data charts from prompts. offgen adds controls before generation: admins can lock legal pages, disclaimers, logos or methodology diagrams so AI cannot change them, and an AI slide review flags brand issues before senior review. offgen is hosted in the EU, holds an ISO/IEC 27001-certified ISMS and exposes the same rules to external agents via MCP.

DeckRobot pricing

DeckRobot does not publish pricing: licences are offered after a demo, and the add-in's Microsoft Marketplace listing from Deckrobot Inc. shows no prices. No free plan or self-service trial is advertised on its website. offgen is licensed per organisation with pricing on request.

A practical pilot checklist

A two-product pilot is most useful when success is defined before generation begins. Use these four checks:

1Generate the same 10-15 slide deck from an identical brief and approved source pack.
2Ask a second user to edit, update, and hand off the resulting PowerPoint without vendor help.
3Record brand corrections, unsupported layouts, manual cleanup time, and factual source errors.
4Have IT and procurement validate the exact plan, deployment model, security evidence, and contract terms.

Built in Germany for European enterprise requirements

offgen for European teams

Being a German provider does not automatically make a product legally superior. It does give European buyers a clear operating model to assess: EU-hosted processing, German contracting, documented data-processing terms, and controls built around enterprise presentation work.

German operator

offgen is operated by Aithera GmbH in Munich. Contracting, support, and the published legal framework are available for German and European customers.

ISO/IEC 27001

offgen operates an independently certified information security management system and provides a trust center for security and procurement review.

EU-hosted, no model training

Customer content is processed in an EU-hosted environment and is not used to train AI models. A data processing agreement is publicly available.

Frequently Asked Questions

The practical questions to ask before choosing a presentation platform.

DeckRobot does not list prices on its website. The site routes buyers to a demo, and the Microsoft Marketplace listing from Deckrobot Inc. does not show a price either, so expect a quote based on users and rollout scope. offgen is also sold without public list prices: it is licensed per organisation, and the proposal follows a demo that maps your templates and workflows.

Yes. DeckRobot describes itself as software for Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows and Mac, distributed as an add-in through Microsoft Marketplace. offgen also runs directly inside PowerPoint. In any pilot, test both tools on the PowerPoint versions and operating systems your firm actually deploys, and check how each handles your master, fonts and protected elements.

Both. Besides redesigning existing slides, DeckRobot generates decks, slides and paragraphs from prompts, creates imagery, and offers AI-driven data charts and document analysis. The difference with offgen lies in the source of that content: offgen grounds drafts in your approved master, tagged slide blocks, CVs and references, so new material reuses wording and structures your organisation has already approved.

No. DeckRobot may be the better fit when your priority is: Enterprises that want one-click redesign and brand transformation for existing PowerPoint slides. offgen is designed for a different priority: Organizations that need a deeper presentation knowledge layer with approved content retrieval and repeatable end-to-end deck workflows.

Verify the contracting entity, processing locations, subprocessors, international-transfer mechanism, DPA, retention, model-training policy, security certifications, and which controls apply to your exact plan. offgen publishes its German operator, DPA, EU-hosting position, ISO/IEC 27001 status, and no-training policy for this review.
