# Install the add-in

Add offgen to PowerPoint, sign in, and open the task pane.

offgen runs in PowerPoint for Windows, Mac and the web. Installing takes about five minutes.

**Who:** everyone with an offgen account

## What you need

* PowerPoint for Windows, Mac or the web, signed in with your Microsoft 365 account
* An offgen account: use the invite from your admin, or [create an account](https://app.offgen.ai/auth/signup). No organization yet? [Book a demo](/en#contact).
* An internet connection

> If **Add-ins** is unavailable or offgen is not in the store, your Microsoft 365 admin can deploy offgen for everyone. Send them [Deploy the add-in](/docs/admin/deploy-add-in).

## Install from PowerPoint

### Open the add-in store

In PowerPoint, select **Home → Add-ins**. In older versions, select **Insert → Get Add-ins**.

### Add offgen

Search for **offgen.ai**, select it, then select **Add**.

### Open offgen

On the PowerPoint **Home** tab, select **offgen** at the right end of the ribbon. The offgen task pane opens.

## Sign in

1. In the task pane, select **Continue to sign in**. A secure window opens.
2. Sign in with Microsoft (your work account) or with your offgen.ai email and password.
3. The task pane opens on **Home**.

To use a different account later, open the **Settings** tab in the task pane and select **Switch account**.

### Choose a plan to continue

If your organization has no active plan, the add-in shows **Choose a plan to continue**. An Owner or Admin selects a plan under **View plans**, which opens [Billing](https://app.offgen.ai/settings/billing) at app.offgen.ai. Then select **I've selected a plan**. See [Billing](/docs/admin/billing).
