## Product

### What is offgen?

offgen creates and edits PowerPoint slides on your company's templates. It runs as an add-in in PowerPoint, and its output is native, editable slides. See [How offgen works](/docs/getting-started/how-offgen-works).

### Can I try offgen without installing it?

Yes. The [demo](/docs/add-in-demo) is a prepared copy of the add-in on a sample deck. It runs in your browser, with no sign-in.

### Which platforms does offgen support?

PowerPoint for Windows, Mac and the web, with a Microsoft 365 account. See [Install the add-in](/docs/getting-started/get-the-add-in).

### Which languages does offgen support?

The add-in and the web app are available in English and German. Change the add-in language in the **Settings** tab under **Language**. [Translate](/docs/translate) translates slides into any language.

## Pricing and trial

### How much does offgen cost?

offgen is billed per seat. There is no public price list. [Book a demo](/en#contact) or [contact us](/en/contact) for a quote.

### Is there a free trial?

Organizations you create yourself at app.offgen.ai start with a 14-day trial. See [Billing](/docs/admin/billing).

## Security and data

### Is offgen secure and GDPR compliant?

offgen is hosted in the European Union and its information security management system is ISO/IEC 27001 certified. A data processing agreement is available. Details are on the [Security](/en/security) page, in the [Data processing agreement](/en/data-processing-agreement) and in the [Trust center](https://trust.offgen.ai). ### Where is our data processed?

In the European Union. The managed service, application data and standard language models are hosted in the EU, and customer data is not used for model training by default. See [EU hosting](/en/hosting).

### How do people sign in?

With Microsoft, using their work account, or with an offgen.ai email and password. See [Security and privacy](/docs/admin/security).

### Does offgen support single sign-on (SSO)?

Yes, through Microsoft (Microsoft Entra ID). offgen support can also link your Microsoft tenant or email domain so everyone who signs in from it joins your organization. SAML with other identity providers and SCIM provisioning are not available. For Enterprise SSO requirements, [contact us](/en/contact). ## Developers

### Is there a REST API?

No, offgen has no public REST API. To create presentations from an AI assistant or your own agent, use the [offgen MCP server](/docs/mcp); the [MCP tool reference](/docs/mcp-tools) lists its tools. [API keys](/docs/admin/api-keys) authenticate MCP clients. To edit `.pptx` files inside your own product, the [PowerPoint SDK](/docs/sdk) is in private preview.
