# Datasets

Store reusable records with text and images, such as team members or customer logos, and fill workflow slides with them.

A dataset is a reusable collection of entries, each with text and images. Bind it to a slide in a workflow, and offgen fills the slide from the entries instead of making content up.

**Where:** [Datasets](https://app.offgen.ai/datasets) in the app.offgen.ai sidebar · **Who:** all members can create and edit datasets; workflow authors bind them

Typical datasets: team members with bio and photo, customer references with logo, products with description and picture.

## Create a dataset

1. Open [Datasets](https://app.offgen.ai/datasets) and select **New dataset**.
2. Enter a **Dataset name** and describe what the dataset represents.
3. Select **Add entry** for each record. Give it a name and write its **Content** in Markdown. **Preview** shows the formatted text.
4. Under **Images**, select **Add images** or drop images. JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported, up to 10 MB each.

Changes save automatically. You can reorder entries and images, switch between **Gallery view** and **List view**, and search the entries.

## Use a dataset in a workflow

1. Open the workflow in the [builder](/docs/workflows).
2. In a **Slide** or **Creative** block, select **Bind a dataset…** and choose the dataset.
3. Choose **All records**, or **Pick records** to select specific entries.

offgen fills repeated elements in order: the first record fills the leftmost card, the second the next one, and so on. When someone runs the workflow, the slide uses the dataset's current content.

Locking a slide (making it **static**) removes its dataset bindings.
